There is a temple in Sera that cherishes flowers.

Kotokuji Temple is also famous for its Sesshu Garden, created by the ink painting artist Sesshu.

We parked our car in the parking lot, drawn by the hydrangeas that lined both sides of the road.

Suddenly, I felt something intimidating coming from the stone wall leading to the temple gate...

We were looked down upon by a large Daruma doll with the words "Good Luck Touma" written on it!

It's a truly charming sight. I wonder if good things will happen to the person who finds it.

When you enter the temple, you will be greeted by a colorful flower water basin.

This alone conveys how much the head priest here loves flowers and how much he wants to entertain people with them.

There are surprisingly many types of hydrangeas inside the temple, so you can enjoy searching for flowers while strolling through the gardens.

The hydrangeas reflected in the water are moist and seem to calm the mind before you know it.

There was a corner where people could write letters on pebbles, so I wrote "peace" with all my heart.

The small temple is filled with interesting features to entertain visitors.

As you go further in, the green becomes more vibrant and vivid.

Hydrangeas bloom vigorously even in the shade, so the sight of them peeking out here and there between the trees, bathed in sunlight, is a soothing Japanese scene.

In contrast to the cute, colorful hydrangeas, these hydrangeas are dark, deep, and heavy.

This temple, which has a strong historical feel, stands quietly as if it will continue to protect it.

Beyond the hydrangeas, a bright exit came into view.

Beloved by the locals and protected by the flowers, this special place will likely continue unchanged for a long time to come.
